Hello
I have been trying to reinstall Win98 on my Toshiba 225cds. After booting I recieve the message "Insert System Disk in Drive- press any key when ready." My laptop no longer recognises the floppy drive nor the harddrive.
I am stuck in an endless loop.

I cannot access the BIOs w/ Tsetup.exe
Win98 System Disk in A:
Win98 Setup in CD drive.

I am really in a jam.

Hi,

Try this.
When you switch on the laptop hold in the Esc key and then press F1 when prompted. This should take you into the Bios Setup.

Check our boot configuration, make sure its set to FDD-CDROM-HDD

the problem might be that its lookinh at the hard drive first before the CD or the Floppy.

Let me know

Steve

Hello Steve,

You saved me! In my Toshiba manual there is no mention of the ESC-F1 to turn on the bios.
My boot configuration was set to HDD-CDROM-FDD and since the HDD was empty there was a problem.

Cheers,
-GREG
