G'day all;

I am having an issue backing up a bcm 400. It was on a network and I was unable to do so. Plugged directly into bcm (yes using crossover cable & proper i.p. info), but the bru is giving me an error messages;

error 53; network path not found
error 1222; unable to detect network

Like I say, I'm getting these codes wether I plug right into it or try on the network.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

What version?

If connected directly, did you map a share to your PC and use the appropriate domain\user credentials?

Plus to do the backup to the Laptop, the Dir must be set to shared.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Version 3.7.
Unclear what you mean by "map a share" to my laptop.
I created a file and made the file able to share, yes the domain & user credentials are good.

I tried both ports (1 & 2) & could ping both o.k.

Which "Dir" are you referring to.

Thank you for your quick responses, I hung around for a couple of minutes but obviously just missed them. I appreciate it.

You need to create a shared dir on your laptop or a network drive which the bcm will write files to.
