Cannot Add Users or Change Passwords - Freezes!

Hi-

I am having problems with a Netware 5.1 Server. I open the NWADMIN32 Console and try to create a user and the program will freeze. The same thing happens when I try to reset a password. This happens on 2 out of 5 of my servers and I cannot figure out the problem. Sometimes a reboot will fix it and sometimes not. Any suggestions?

what do you mean 2 out of the 5
you mean when you run nwadmin from the server ?

a reboot of what - the server? the workstation?

is you ds all in sync?
you time ate all ok?
no other probs except thios ?
what happens when you run a local copy of console1 or in deed you can run nwadmin local on the pc - think there is still an old tid on how you do this

Sounds like an NDS problem to me, too. You need to do a full health check and resolve all problems you find.

Either that or your workstation is hosed.

What Service Pack are you running on your servers out of interest?

Does NWADMIN32.EXE work well with your version of NDS? If you have 8.5 or later you might try using consoleone.
