Cannot add names in Notes 4.66

Hi - first posting here! I've looked through the archives to no avail so apologies if I'm repeating a known question.
When trying to add a name to the database (I assume names.nsf) from a received mail an error pops up telling me that the database has not been opened and cannot be written to.
Any ideas what this means?

The address book is otherwise viewable.

are you using an agent to do the copy or manually copying and pasting the email in? Lamaar75@hotmail.com
