Cannot add contacts to address book in Outlook 98

I have tried to add contacts to address book but when I go to Properties/Outlook Address Book, check box "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book" is disabled, and I cannot check it!? I have several contact folders and all of them are disabled to add to address book.

Are you showing the folder above it in your Address book? I think you must. So, you wouldn't want to have a Contacts folder under an Email folder...for instance.
