Hello guys,
I am intrigued by this problem, maybe someone can help. I have a client that dropped off their laptop with me for what seemed to be an issue that could be easily fixed, but thats not proving to be the case. She has an Acer Aspire 1 - one of those tiny little netbooks with Windows XP Home. The laptop came pre-installed with OEM Microsoft Office 2007 (not sure if it is Pro or not)... Apparently she never activated the product, and as a result, it is in reduced functionalty mode. I press the "Activate" button in Word Options in an attempt to activate the product by either internet or phone, unfortunately, the activation wizard never opens. I have searched the internet and microsoft KB articles endlessly and haven't came across anything quite like this. Things I have tried...
Tried Safe Mode
Deleted the license file as stated in a MS KB article (Can't recall what the file was called)
None of the above has worked. Can someone please help me unlock Office for this client? Thanks in advance
