Cannot access system manager after changing administrator password

I recently tried to change the administrator password through GP. After changing the administrator password I could logon to the server fine, however, I could not start exchange system manger. After changing the administrator password back to the original password everything worked again. So what did i do wrong? Thanks for the help in advance

How long did you wait before starting the Exchange System Manager? As AD needs time for any changes to be replicated.
