We have a single domain forest with 5 DCs. 2 of the DCs are in the same site as the SQL 2005 server.
DC 1 - GC, DNS Server (Primary DNS for the SQL Server)
DC 2 - GC, DNS Server (Secondary DNS for the SQL Server), FSMO role holder

When DC 2 gets restarted all users connected to the SQL Server (using mixed authentication) lose connectivity.
Also, during this time when DC 2 is unavailable, I cannot logon to the SQL server using my domain account.

During the outage the following events are logged:
System - evt 5789
App - Evt 17806, 18452

Any ideas what is going on here? Why is the SQL server not looking to the next DC?
