Hi,

I'm a VPN newbie trying to set up a VPN. Here's my setup, from remote client to server:

SSH Sentinel 1.4/Windows 2000/Dynamic IP.

Modem

Internet

BT 6581 Router

Multitech Routefinder 550 VPN

Office Network

Right, I've now got it set up so that I can ping the office servers etc from my home. I can also view the office Intranet (on an NT server) and the web pages for the Jetdirect print servers.

What I can't do is map to any network shares.

Ideally I want to be able to log on to the network. Failing that I'd like to be able to browse for a network share. But at the moment I can do nothing.

Example:

Server IP address: 192.168.1.2
Shared folder on server: USERS

I've tried mapping a drive by right-clicking My Computer etc etc, and typing in \\192.168.1.2\USERS as the mapping, but it cannot find it.

Any ideas as to where I'm going wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Dominic

Further Information:
The setup is exactly as defined in the Routefinder manual Example 4, and the SSH Sentinel "VPN Connection to Multi-Tech RF550VPN Gateway" document.
On the SSH VPN properties page, I've left the "Acquire virtual IP address" field unchecked. I feel this should be checked, but it won't work if it is checked.
