Hi! I am stuck and looking for any suggestions. There is a vpn setup overseas that we need to be able to connect to... We have tried from a number of different computers, from different locations, and none of them work if they are joined to our domain - but I have had no problem at all if they are in a workgroup.. i haven't been able to try from another domain yet, although the person on the other side says they have, and it works - so it seems to point to something in particular in our domain... i have tried changing various GPO's, and even tried disabling them all together and that doesn't seem to help at all... has anyone else had similar trouble or have any advice for troubleshooting??? Thanks for reading!!!

yikes sorry I submitted before explaining everything! The VPN actually connects fine...

The main problem is connecting to a share... I get a username/password box, and can logon using DOMAIN\USER and the password, if i'm in a workgroup... but on the domain computers, it just doesnt work and keeps coming up with the user/password box, until the account is locked out...

If the machines are on a domain you merely use the username and password

well, they are different domains... if i just use a username and password, it comes back up with MYDOMAIN\username .. if i use THEIRDOMAIN\username it just plain fails...
