Cannot Access Public Folders OWA after Changing Servers

Recently I moved Exchange 2000 to a different server with a different name. Everything looks good and I can access public folders though Outlook and if I enter servername/public in IE. When I open owa.servername.com/exchange I get the error "Access is denied. Your browser security settings will not allow access to this folder from this page"

I have already checked out all the MS knowledge articles I could find and if I add it to my trusted sites it works (internally). I get an "unknown error" from the outside.

It seems as if there is some sort of pointer still pointing to the old server. Although I have all Exchange services stopped and the stores dismounted, when I turn off the old server I get Outlook popup by the clock that says it has lost connection to that server and I can't access my public folders unless i restart outlook. Like I said for some reason it seems like it is directing to the old server first and then coming back to the new server.

Any help would be appreciated, I have worked for days on this.

I did experience it after moving mailboxes to a new server but not sure which of these fixed it:
- Make sure you have a replicate copy of the Public folders on the new server
- Make the new server as the master in the ESM Routing Groups
- Modify DNS servers to point to correct server names e.g. - ipconfig /flushdns to all workstations
- enable https in exchange is admin
- modify iistart.asp in to point to
