I have a user with a 2GB pst file in Outlook 2007.
I know that it is too big and needs to be parsed.
It was working fine until two days ago and now changes or additions were made to the file.
The user then got the message 'The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook.'
Using scanpst I parsed the file initially on my client (Outlook 2010) to a local file (backing up the original first)
I then got the message 'The file archive.pst is not compatible with this version of the personal folders information service. Contact your administrator.'
I ran scanpst on the users machine and then tried to open the pst normally - got same error. I then tried to add a new data file and got the same message.
Can anyone assist?
Thanks
