We are using Windows XP
Our MS Word edition is 2002
we created a folder to save our MS Word documents in.
We had problems with our PC so we had to use PC Recovery. After using the recovery, we cannot access our Word documents that are in the folder that we saved them to.
A box comes up with : "Word cannot open document. User does not have access privileges"
We can see the file names when we open the folder, but cannot open them.
*we did not delete any user accounts when using PC Recovery
*we are logged on as Administrator
*My husband remembers encrypting it so that no hackers could get access to the information in the files,
but that was more than a year ago & he can not remember how he encrypted it.
Is there any way to undo the encryption in MS Word 2002 so we can access our important files??
