HI, I just reinstalled a machine with WIN2000 Professional.
Everything seems to work eccept from accessing the Internet.
1. Cabling are proberply connected.
2. The machine can access the domain from the server.
3. It can ping itself, but cannot ping a website.
4. From other computers, it can see the other machines on the network, and access these machines.
All seems to be set as it should, but it cannot access the ... .... Internet. What can be wrong?

If you are using ICS throught the server, check the gateway setting in the tcp/ip setup.

Hi Jesper
If you are using a firewall make sure the new pc is added as a trusted machine.

If you can see the network, check the TCP/IP settings, check that you have set the default gateway, and that you are using the same DNS server as the other machines, you could try pinging this DNS server
Also in Internet Explorer, check the tools/internet options/LAN settings..check the box "Auto Detect Settings"
Or you can set the IP of the proxy server, see how this is set on the other machines
Hope this helps
