Cannot Access Deign View 1

I am trying to open an Access database in design view so that I can see all the tables/forms/queries etc. However when I open the .mdb file it appears to be in runtime. I have tried using commands such as F11 however this does not seem to work.

Have you tried holding down the shift key while you open the database? Keep holding the key through any open dialogs, it should over-ride start-up settings. Also, do not use any shortcuts to open the file.

Thanks for the help. I have tried both of these approached but they did not work

If the worst comes to the worst, create another database and import all the items (Get External Data) from the one thats sick. Import all tables/forms etc. Then try opening that up.
