Of 10 users, 8 are using Outlook with pop mail. No problems with these, however 2 are configured for pop and Exchange. I have no knowledge of Exchange.

We installed a new SBS 2003 server and disconnected the old one from the server. I now have problems with 1 of the users who apparently was using Exchange. Once I went into his Email Accounts settings in Outlook, it tried to verify his name and couldn't. So now I cannot open Outlook on his PC. He had an issue once before and when he cannot connect to Exchange he cannot see his folders and the email stored in them. On the other PC with an Exchange account, as long as I just check mail and don't go into Email Accounts settings, all is well.

How can I get his folders from the old SBS and load them into his pst file and not use Exchange (which is not configured on the new server)?

Desperate. TIA.

Point his client workstation back at the old SBS server for DNS. Then open Outlook. You will probably get prompted for authentication. Put in the credentials he was using on the old server, or whatever his username/password there was.

Once you've properly connected to Outlook/Exchange, use the File menu to create a new Personal folder. Copy all the stuff from "Mailbox - Username" into the Personal folder.

Now close Outlook. Open up the Control Panel and go to Mail. Open the default mail profile and look at the Email Accounts section. Delete the Exchange account from the list.

Point the DNS back at the new SBS box.

Open Outlook again. You should just be configured for POP3 now, and all the mail from the old server will be in the .pst file.
