My user wants to install a piece of software for access to his Kodak camera. His system's policy restricts his access to the C: drive. After logging in with the migrate account to install the software, when the user clicks on the Kodak software, he receives the message that says, "Unable to access the C: drive". What is the safest and best way to let the user use the Kodak software without compromising security of the system?
I am a novice to Novell, please explain.
Thanks

I'm assuming that a policy is in use that restricts access. If NOvell is involved, its most likely delivered with ZENworks. There are no such policies within NetWare itself.

If you are using Windows Group Policies delivered via ZENworks, you just need to do some research on Group Policies and find out if there is a setting that grants the control you want. ZENworks is just the delivery tool, Group Policies should be the same whether you have ZENworks or not. If you are using some other application to tighten down the workstations, you'll have to configure within the applications.
