Hi all, this is my problem: we hosted a a website inhouse so people in te company was able to access this site as an intranet and reps all round thw world were accessing via Internet, now the site is being hosted by a outside company the ISP created a new DNS record(new IP address using the same url) so people can go to the new site but now the users inside the company cannot access the new site but users using the Internet are able to. is there something in the firewall that needs to be changed? now this is a public site like yahoo, etc but cannot be accessed by the local users..any Ideas?

thanks.

do you have an internal DNS server with the old address in it?
when you do a ping what ip address does it resolve to? the old or the new?

Yes we do have a internal dns and yes when trying to connect the new site is going to the old server.

thanks.

Then perhaps you should remove the DNS record on your LAN DNS server so that the clients DNS resolvers get the correct DNS information. This is nothing to do with the firewall.

Chris.
