cannot access a folder of newly added harddisk 1

after adding the C drive of a computer with a broken down motherboard to another computer as to still be able to use the files on it, I can't get into the folder I need in the 'documents and settings' department. When I try to open it I get a message saying the folder is not accessible, access is denied. There is no security tab in the properties section and sharing it on the network doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea? Every suggestion is welcome.

Hi!
You have to "take ownership" of the new drive root folder.
If security tab is missing in xp pro disable simple filesharing , In xp home there is a different way to do it.

Look through the ms$ article and i'm sure you
get access .
