To cancel an active job:
1.From the Activity Monitor window, select the active job you wish to cancel from the GDM job list.
2.Click on the Edit menu and select Kill.

This is what I found in the help section. I couldn't find
Kill anywhere but I did find Cancel. I selected cancel and the job is still running. It's been running for a couple of days now. The elasped time is still running. It's stopped on the Microsoft Information Store/First.

I don't know if it's related but I have had some corrupt files in individuals mailboxs. I've read some threads concerning that issue and it doesn't seem to be related.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

To get the job to release, take the following steps.

Close the BE console:

• Stop all the Backup Services.
• Using explore or the command line go to the following directory. C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\Data - Locate the JOBS7.DAT file. Delete the file. (Don't worry it will be recreated once you start the services up again)
• Start the BE services.
• Launch the BE console.

You should noticed that your job is gone and BE is ready to except another job.

As for the corrupt mailboxes - I would check out the Veritas support website. There may be a hotfix that fixes this issue.
