Can somebody help me with my "cancel" problem.

When i try to cancel a printjob i have an error,
0781-111 no login name found. This problem often occurs during the process of trying to cancel jobs to remote system. I have found a document that give's an solution.
This solution is :
- clear unwanted files in /var/spool/lpd/qdir
- remove /etc/qconfig.bin, and rerun lpstat.
When i do this everything works normal, but the error keeps comming back. When i look in the /var/spool/lpd/qdir directory there's file named "mbox". When i have removed the file, 1 day later the file is back and i can't cancel a printjob.

My only guess is that /var/spool/lpd/qdir is someone's home directory. Check /etc/passwd and change it. ?

No login name found
This problem often occurs during the process of trying to cancel jobs to
remote system, especially with Windows/NT servers when using
AIXSHORT for stat filter. Be sure to use bsdshort and bsdlong.
Clear unwanted files out of /var/spool/lpd/qdir. These frequently give
this problem. Remove /etc/qconfig.bin, and rerun lpstat.

Are you cancelling jobs from Windows NT? or other than a Rs6000 login?

In the /etc/qconfig file......when you vi it.......does it show aixshort for
rp0:
* host = hostname
* s_statfilter = /usr/lib/lpd/aixshort
* l_statfilter = /usr/lib/lpd/aixlong
* rq = queuename
* device = drp0

that is the default...If you always cancel with an NT or windows terminal,
you can change it to bsdshort and bsdlong... the default is aixshort...
You can vi the mbox file...it is probably a message that can give you some
insight into what else is wrong... It is probably generated when
you cancel the job

you can always change the messages to go to nobody for the printer...
that may help Printer messages

Use lsvirprt to look at the virtual printer. The _A setting
can be used to determine if messages go to the console, or the submitter's
mail. There is another attribute called "user to receive intervention messages"
which I don't recall the attribute name for, but you can set it to "nobody" and
the messages will be sent to /dev/null. lsvirprt;_ A=0
or
lsvirprt; si = nobody
or
lpr.* /dev/null in /etc/syslog.conf; refresh -s syslogd
or
use a tty driver (w/ Xon/Xoff flow ctrl) instead of an lp driver

MESSAGES
A. Backend generated
1) Intervention required (e.g., printer out of paper). Sent to submitter of job.
Controlled by virtual printer _si attribute (users, separated by commas, to get
intervention messages; null string is job submitter), e.g., si=nobody.
2) Backend error messages (e.g., use of invalid flag). Controlled by the virtual
printer _A attribute, e.g., A=0
