Can I cancel a mksysb after process has started? If so, how?

What about using the ps -ef to list the processes and use the kill command on the process you wish to stop?

You can do that. But just remember that each time you kill a process, it increases your buffer usage. If you shutdown on a regular basis and don't use alot of processing, you should be just fine.

JVW Thanks,
Vince
