Due to a problem with our supplier we've run out of tape labels. Are you able to recycle old labels and if so, how? Is it just a case of putting the old tape and label in and running the nsrjb -L -S 1 command?

Thanks

Are you recycling just the label, so the actual media isn't being overwritten, or are you recycling the entire tape?

If you are reusing just the label do you have an autochanger with barcode reader enabled? You might have an issue when that label is reintroduced to the library and the barcode now is associated with a different volume ID. Just to save any media inconsistencies you might want to consider blowing the media entry for the volume using nsrmm -d volume

If you are reusing the label and the tape then disregard.
Just a thought. - Larry
