Customer with BCM400, 3.7 s/w CC Pro. has a user in France using a softphone, trying to connect to BCM in UK as a CC Agent.

When they enter there Agent ID and password, it then resets the phone.

They are connecting via ADSL circuit.

If they do not log in as ana gent, they can use the handset as normal via the BCM.

Is this scenario possible?

Regards in advance

2050 is as good as any other phone - though ive not used one for an agent. - i'll check it out.

Did you mean USB headset?

It should be fine I have used an I2050 on a LAN and WAN but not across a VPN. I cannot see any reason why it should not work. The only thing I would say is if you use a LAN to LAN VPN or a VPN client with PFS and SA make sure you set the key lifetime to the maximum time out. I have noticed on the IP phones if the VPN tunnel renegotiates the IP phone resets.
