We had a one-off question come through this week. A user dialed in to voicemail (AAM), checked messages and decided to forward a message to another user. while doing this she entered the wrong extension. instead of pressing pound (#), she hung up thinking this would cancel the forwarding. it didn't and the message was forwarded anyway. is there a way to cancel forwarding on a voicemail message if you've sent it to the wrong recipient? I can't find anything in the guide and our Avaya account manager doesn't think this is possible. just posting this thread to see if anyone has some ideas.

Are you asking if you can remove the message from the users mailbox that you sent the message to ?

The only way I know of is to delete the senders mailbox and that will remove the message that was sent.

Other than that it cant be done. If it is that important you could of course change the password on the mailbox it was sent to and get in and remove it.

deleting someone's mailbox because another person forwarded the wrong message to them is not gonna fly. thanks for the feedback.
