Can you test for BOF and EOF in CR 8 1

I am somewhat new to Crystal Reports and have an error message that I want to display if the user requested parm combination returns no records, otherwise I want to suppress it. How is the best way to do this? I know there has to be an easy way, I just can't find it.

Insert a count of records.
Then suppress/hide your error message based upon
isnull(count) Andrew Baines
