We have gone through a Major down-sizing here. I have hidden lots of users mail accounts but some still have OOO set. Is there any way to remove or ammend OOO messages from Exchange admin or do I need to configure an outlook client for each user and then amend remove it from there?
Server is exchange 5.5 on NT4
Thanks

By default Exchange 5.5 denies OOO replies to the Internet.

Go into Exchange Admin, IMS, Internet Mail, Advanced Options and make sure that Disable Out of Office responses to the Internet is checked off.

Before we hide the mailbox, we set the Delivery Restrictions - Accept Messages From to be the mailbox that you are about to hide. Basically saying that this mailbox will only accept messages from itself therefore no OOO will ever be sent as no omessages ever get to mailbox. Works ok for us.
