Is there a way to set a default file location for the Auto Backup feature? For example, if I always save my files on the network, it would be helpful to have a backup file on my pc if the network goes down.

Thanks in advance,

Andy

Tools / Options / File Locations: select "AutoRecover Files" and click "Modify..."

But note this (from the help file):

"AutoRecover is not a replacement for regularly saving your documents. If you choose not to save the recovery file after Word opens it, the file is deleted and your unsaved changes are lost. If you save the recovery file, it replaces the original document (unless you specify a new file name)."
