Can you service observe a hunt?

Is it possible to service observe a hunt? I have a config to SO by VDN but can you do the same with a Hunt and if so how?

I'm pretty sure the answer is no. I just checked into this. (although I didnt ask here) :)

I think his question was, can you SO the Hunt group extension. I just had someone from the business ask me this the other day. I told them no.... I guess I should have verified that for sure.... :)

Unfortunately, the answer is an emphatic "no". Only option is the VDN route. However, why not create a new VDN pointed to a new vector that does a "route to" the hunt group extension number, then SO the VDN? If you can't change the number (too many people to notify), then give the HG a new number and make its old number the new VDN.
 
If this hunt is used for a call center, then you shouldn't even use the Hunt Ext. You should use a VDN the points to a vector the queues to the hunt. This way you have vector processing, IE music, announcements while on hold etc. then just S.O the VDN.

My question was answered.
By the way, word got out and now everyone wants SO sooooo I will be setting up a VRT VDN Table and using a vector to ask the caller to select which VDn they want to SO.
