Hi,

I made a full db backup to disk this morning.

I don't want to restore the entire db - just 1 table

From the various restore options I've seen, I don't know how to restore just 1 table - is it possible?

Again, we are restoring from a disk bkup. SQL Server 2000

Thanks, John

Not Directly from a restore.

Easiest thing is to restore the backup as a different database then export the table to the original database. export can be done a variety of ways including dts and bulk copy.

I am hoping they will change this for yukon. When i talk to oracle dba's i awlays here how sql doesnt have direct table level restore.

thanks alot Corran007. That's good info.

And I would do just that... restore the entire db... if I
had enough disk space... but I can restore it to another server, then export it.

Maybe SQL Server will grow up one day....:)

Thanks, John
