I have a computer giving the error message "explorer.exe has generated errors and will be closed" when trying to browse in windows explorer. Another thing that is weird is if you go into my computer and browse it is fine until you go up to view > explorer > folder, then it causes the error message again. I was wondering if I could grab explorer.exe from another computer and overwrite it. Would that cause any issues?

I would try this have your win 2000 cd handy and goto RUN type as shown without quotes " sfc /scannow " to check/repair your system files.

Excellent idea, I didn't even think of that. I'll have to try it! Thanks!
