Hi All

I can't find a property that will name a subreport. IE if you use the saveas function on one subreport (say called report1) and then call the copy report2, when you import report2 into any other mainreport the name shown on the subreport and tab is report1 and not its saved name report2. Is there anyway of permantely and internally changing the name of report2 so that "report2" is displayed within the main reports that import it.

Thanks, in advance.

Once a report has been a subreport it can't be renamed easily. But, here is a new tool called rpt Inspector that makes this property visible and modifiable. It also allows you to make batch updates to properties and formulas in multiple reports I have a link to the demo download on my web site and did a short review in my last newsletter. rptInspector will not let you modify the subreport name for 8.5 reports.
You can not change the Report Path or Report File Name of a Sub-Report via .rpt Inspector because it's not exposed as a Read/Write property. You can change other properties of the sub-report including the Title.

Which Crystal? You can change names in Crystal 10, by right-clicking, choosing [Format Subreport] and changing the name from the [Subreport] tab.
