I have a Compaq Presario CQ50-217CL and I am reading my manual on how to back up my computer with back up discs and it says you can only make one set. Is this really true? What happens if you loose them? Could you burn them maybe?

I suspect that it's a licensing thing. Yes, the backup imaging software that is included only runs once. Yes, you can make copies of the discs once they are made. This backup utility is seperate from the 'factory restore', so it's best to use it after you install all your add-on software. You can use other backup tools including the standard windows backup as much as you like.
