I recently upgraded to a CS1000, i know in LD 20 you can IDU a digital tn, is there a similar command like that for these VOiP computer .com telephones? Sorry for the sarcasm, I'm an old school wire dawg. Thanks in advance!

Nick

Use system status to see if the phone is registered or not. You can see the IP address and username as well.

This is an IP Office forum, you need the CS1000/Nortel forum :)

Crap. I read it as he upgraded a CS1000 to an IP Office and reused some 1120 phones.

But in response to his question, go into LD 117 and type stat ip tn followd by the TN number. I.E, STAT IP TN 104 0 0 0

Oh im sorry, i didnt realize i was in the wrong area.

biv343, so if the tn is 92 0 0 13, i type in

=> stat ip 92 0 0 13

but i get SCH0099 92?

am i doing somthing wrong?

thanks

got it, not that anyone else cares, but its

ld 117
=> stat ip TN x x x x

Thank you again!

@detota3 upgrade them to an Avaya IP Office, then use the system status to ping them is much easier :)

But there is rarely a need to ping as you can see they are connected, their MAC, their IP, their firmware level, their feature status, how long they have been in state , number/ key presses as they happen. Try an IPO you will like it :)

IPO is much more user friendly than CS1K will ever be, at least from an admin standpoint.

You can also stat the TN from LD 20 or LD 32 if you want. You'll at least see IDLE REGISTERED or IDLE UNREGISTERED. You get more info from LD 117. Or go the isetShow route from the sig server.

I can't get that Nortel crap to leave my brain no matter how hard I try. I might get to start playing with CM next. Any IPO folks dabble in the Aura/CM world? What might I be signing myself up for?
