can you pass an integer value into an SQL statement

I want to pass an integer value into an SQL statement (which is also run as code), as part of the Where clause in the statement. Is this possible, & if so how??

try something like

for number = 1 to 10
query = "SELECT * From Table WHERE ID = " + str(number) + ";"
docmd.runsql query
next
