Hi Guys,

I have several tapes that are part of a retention policy. My problem is that the tapes are only using a small percentage of the capacity. What I would like to do is "merge" the data from these tapes onto other tapes so I can maximise the use of the tapes. For example I have 3 monthly backups that are 20Gb each, each monthly backup is on a seperate 120Gb tape. Is there a way of merging these three monthly backups onto one tape, so I can then reuse the other tapes? I realise that it is more complicated than simply merging whole backups and that it will probably involve each individual backup job.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

There is no way to "merge" the media but you can create an Aux Copy and just select those jobs to copy.
