Can you merge ARCserve databases?

Can you merge a database from ARCserveIT - Version 6.61 (build 834SP2A) - into an ARCserve 2000 Advanced Edition - Version 7.0 (build 1018)? The 2000 version has been up and running for several weeks and everything I read indicates that you can do a restore but that overwrites the original data and that isn't what I want to do. I want, if possible, to add my old 6.61 database info into the current 7.0 database.
