1290 indicates the mac address.
can I take the mac address and login a phone remotely?
I tried... no luck.

No. 1290 is used to log a phone out, or release the MAC address VS. the extension.

I use advance IP scanner. It will scan your subnet and show all the IP addy's, MAC's and Manufacturer. That will point you to the webpage of the phone to verify your config USER:ADMIN PASS 6633222. You can see where the phone is registering to, the port number, any SIP profile stuff, and how it gets it's IP addy.

Sounds like to me then you will have to have a config file and DHCP scope options 66, and 67 turned on. That is the only other way. This will supply the phone with a file server, and file name for the config file.
