My customer has one working PRI on his MICS 5.0XC.
We would like to install another parial PRI.
Do we need to have 2 PRI enabler keycodes or will one service 2 DTI cards? When I look in the programming, it looks like the 2nd PRI card is supported in the hardware.

Thanks,
Dave

1 keycode per system ...
make sure ur partial PRI has the 24th channel as D channel

On the second PRI do we configure the d-channel with the telco as a backup d-channel? Or do we actually have 2 seperate PRI's, one full 23 channel and one partial 8 channel, with a seperate d-channel for each?

So I am clear on this:
Each pri has a d-channel whether partial or full.
Each pri operates seperately and independantly.

We do not ask the telco to program a backup d-channel on the 2nd pri?

Thanks again senk1s.

Dave

Sorry to jump in here for my own clarification. Even though my telco can provide signalling on one D channel for up to 3 T1 pipes, Norstar needs a D channel each T1??

according to standards a single D channel can provide signaling for multiple PRIs using NFAS (non facility associated signaling) ...but norstar doesnt support it
