Can you fill a dataset with a memo field?

I haven't found any documentation stating that you can't fill a dataset with a memo field, but I am having trouble doing so. I'm using a dataadapter to connect to a Visual FoxPro database using the OLE DB Provider. I have no problem filling the dataset until I add a memo field to my select command. Is this the case with other databse types?
