Can you drill to details from ANY group level?

Hello all,

I have a report that has 3 group headings, Service Area, Date, and Log ID with a hidden details section. I have been asked to make the report drillable from any group level. Is that even possible? It was my understanding that to get to the details in a grouped report, you have to drill on the final group. Is this correct?

Using CR2008 on Oracle 10g.

I think you might be right. However, Try using function drilldowngrouplevel

Place this is a formula and put on report at group and details and see what values are returned. Then try using this in section expert suppress formula and see if you can use it to over ride normal performance.

Failing that use an on demand subreport in each group and link on a field name in each group header. Then users can click on that field and drill directly to details.
