I am trying to do a timeline based on number of days only. So if there is a date in the future, I want to show - 45 days for a task, 30 days for another and show the cumulative day counts (regardless of date). I don't want to display any dates at all. Is this possible?

yes, but the dearth of detail in your inquiry makes it problematic re how the results would be displayed.

generically, "time lines" are sequences of events with predecessor:successor relationships, with numerous possabilities in these relationships. The simplistic approach is always that task a must end before task b can start; task b nust end before task c can start, ... task (n-1) must end before task(n) may start and the overall job is done when task n is complete. but this is quite simplistic, and real situations may have many different situations re the commencement of successor tasks, including the start of multiple successors at various degrees of completion or predecessors ...
