I have some .tif files and would like to convert to .dwg so that I may modify them as needed. Is this possible? aftermarket software maybe? Any help is appreciated as it will save me time from redrawing the entire images.
No, I am sorry but you cannot directly convert a tif to a dwg file. The tif is a raster (pixel based) file while AutoCAD is a vector (interpreted vectors) format. There are programs to help draw a drawing, using the tif as a "background" and approximating lines. Options are to embed the tif in your drawing and draw over it or do an actual "redraw" using something like "Autodesk CAD Overlay" program. I hope this helps.
