Can you change the Supv Extension of ACD group

I'm trying to replace the telephone of an ACD supervisor extension, and I am changing the type of phone from TDM to IP. The way I have done this for my agent phones was to give the existing TDM phone a new extension number which free'd up the original extension and I was able to then build a new IP phone with that original extension.. With the Supervisor extension, I cannot change the existing extension number because it is Supervisor extension for the ACD group.. I cannot seem to change the connection type from direct to IP in the station record either, so is there some other way to accomplish this??

To use another extension as Supervisor give it the 'SUPER' attribute in SDAT
Then
Example to change Super extension from 58102 to 58103
CHA-SDAT:58103,ATTRIBUT,SUPER;
CHANGE-ACDGP:115,NORMAL,,58103;

To change from/to IP/TDM -
REGEN everything relevant about the extension in the normal way
Example:
REG-SBCSU:XXXXX;
REG-SDAT:XXXXX;
REG-ZIEL:FWD,XXXXX;
REG-ZIEL:NAME,XXXXX;
REG-ZIELSS,XXXXX;
DIS-TAPRO:STN,XXXXX;
REG-PERSI:STN,XXXXX;


Then delete the extension or change the number of it.
Then add it back in as TDM/IP

Oh, I think what I was missing was that I was trying to change the supervisor extension of the group with an extension that was not flagged for supervisor first,,DOH!! I'll give it a try, Thanks SBCSU !

I get this error when trying to change the SUPV extension of the group...

THE SPECIFIED ACD GROUP IS CONFIGURED AS A PRIMARY GROUP.
IT CAN BE CHANGED INTO A NORMAL GROUP
BY ASSIGNING AN OTHER GROUP TO BE THE
PRIMARY GROUP OF SUPERVISOR SUPEXT=58102

So if I make another group the primary group of the extension, I'm still going to have this problem , won't I ??

Add another ACD group and add in an extension there as super.
Change that group then to be Primary
Then your group would be free to change the super extn.

I think I got it..

The issue was 58102 was also the SUPV for another group. I had to change the supv exten on that group first, and then I was able to make the change on the primary group to another extension...
