I want to change the name on 100 2410 digital sets to the same name in one shot, how can I do it?

In ASA there is a 'Find & Remove/Change' feature. I've used that for something similar.

'Knows enough to be dangerous. Wait... make that really dangerous.'

I would use the import/export function of ASA and Excel spreadsheet, but I would look up if CM cares if you have the same name for multiple stations. I think it is OK

I have a document about using ASA import/export with Excel, let me know if you need it andy_backs@dell.com

You can use the same name on every station, extension, and object in the switch. The switch software does not validate names.

You can use ASA. You can use procomm. You can use expect scripts. You can cut and paste with a mouse. You can use putty. There are many options for this.
