I have a school district who wants to not show the extension number the technician is calling out from so that the schools don't all call him back directly - we have another number for them to call that is an auto attendant. The schools have T1's between them and the district office (where the tech is). I don't think this is possible but told them I would check. I created a new entry in the CLID table for calls that go outside of the district.

Thanks!

Hi,

Set DDGD in the CLS of the tech set. The called party will see ---- and not the number

If Bill Gates had a nickel for every time Windows crashed... Oh wait, he does...

PS:

You can add the number that the users must dial to the name of the set.

Marc,

I see DDGD in the Cls in my book, but where would I enter the number I want them to call back (the Auto Attendant)?

Thanks!

Hi,

In the name of the set (LD 95). You can't change the CLI as for external calls, you can only enable/disable it. So add the callback number in the name (CPND).

Marc,

Thanks for the help! I've been programming Nortels for 8 years and never had anyone ask for this before. You made me look good to my customer! (I own my own little business I started a year ago after being laid of by NextiraOne).

Thanks again,

Sue

Hey Marc D.,

I found out from the customer that the calls going outside the district are showing as "Restricted Number" on their caller ID. So we tested and changed the DDGD to DDGA and then the outside caller ID worked again (I had created a new entry in the CLID table so it shows the Auto Attendant number instead of his real number). Is there a fix so that internal calls don't see his DN but external calls send the CLID?

Thanks again!

Hi Again,

Check the CLS CLBD. If it's CLBA you deny the outgoing CLID. (Calling Line Blocking or something like that).

I've added the TNB of my set. Internal it doesn't send a CLID, but external it does.
