So we have a client that runs a service for DV victims and such.. they have a couple phones that they want to restrict from sending out caller ID. Right now the main number is being sent out. They would like no caller ID information sent from certain phones.

My suspicion is that the carrier is going to have to turn off caller ID for the circuit and we will have to insert the caller ID on the sets we want to out pulse the main number.

Any other ideas?

What kind of lines?

Dermis and feline can be divorced by manifold methods.*
*(Disclaimer for all advise given)--'Version Dependent'

Do it in the ARS table for these users

Analog lines, add *67 in front of the telephone number
Code:
Code:    N;
Number:  *67N
Feature: Dial 3K1

PRI and SIP, put a W after the telephone number
Code:
Code:    N;
Number:  NW
Feature: Dial 3K1

I had one CLEC that used the *67 in front of the number like an analog line because of the way they programmed the IAD and the channels appeared to them in their Metaswitch

most line providers in the US will not let you make a call on digital trunks with that and either block it or insert the main number of the circuit.
Analog lines with the *67 should work if the provider uses that code.

You can try on the phone if you have a 9600 set (not sure if 9500 does it too)

Feature - Call settings - Withhold number

This should work for digital lines.
