Is there a way to block specific java applets? The one I'm most concerned about is InstallerApplet.class by some Internet Search toolbar company. It contains a virus (Java/OpenStream).

I guess with some enhanced firewall.

By using a browser which gives you specific restriction-options for applets.
In Firefox you may prohibit java-execution, and enable it only when needed - perhaps you'll find a plugin for fast-switching or lists of trusted java-sources.

It is generally a good idea to avoid places where you pick such dirt, because tomorrow, they have a new annoyance for you.

Why does somebody need an internet-search-toolbar?
