Does anyone know if there is a way to default the CC line in an outlook message to always copy a particular address?? We have a problem in our company of people not copying others on emails. Thanks
I tested this and it worked at home. There's several steps here:
1. Create the Form
Open a new message.
Hit Tools-Forms-Design this Form.
Right-click the CC box and hit Properties.
Set the Initial value to whoever it should be.
Save the form.
2. Publish the form
With the form still open.
Hit Tools-Publish form.
I published it to my personal forms folder, you'll want to do it elsewhere, I suppose--you'll probably know where.
It'll say something about a checkbox, YES, you want to checkmark it.
3. Click on the Inbox, right-click it and choose Properties.
You'll see "when posting to this folder..."
Choose Forms, and then choose the form you just published.
I suspect the users' PCs could be updated with a registry edit, but I'll leave that up to you.
Let me know if you get stuck, tho. Maybe I can ask around.
I don't use this but quickly tried it and it seems to work.
Use Rules Wizard (Outlook 98).
Choose:
1. Check message after sending - then next button
2. Next button again (without making any choice)
3. Yes to apply the rule to all messages.
4. cc the message to
5. click on the people or dist list and choose the cc person then click on next button.
6. Go thru and finish the rest of the screens as required.
