I use Crystal to save a 'Magic' database file as a text file so that I can import it into other applications. Is there any way to automate this process so that a user does not have to go through the entire 'Open file', 'Save as' routine?

Have you tried Crystal Info? Seagate seems to be giving it away (five user licenses), you can schedule the report to run (weekly, daily, every full moon), and export the data to the location you want. I'm not sure what you want to do with the result though - is that where you are running into problems?
Malcolm Wynden
wynden@island.dot.net
